Why does the ballpark not include rebates? +
MidAmerican Energy's 2026 Instant Discounts come off at the point of sale by a participating distributor — we can only tell you the exact dollar amount once we know the specific model we're installing. Applying an average would understate the discount for some homeowners and overstate it for others; showing the pre-discount ballpark and applying the real dollar amount on the quote is more honest.
Is the federal heat pump tax credit still available in 2026? +
No — the federal 25C tax credit ended for installations after December 31, 2025. Anyone still advertising it for 2026 installs is out of date. MidAmerican Energy's 2026 Instant Discounts, however, are real and active, and we'll apply the exact amount on your real quote.
