Every stage is test-fired — heat, cool, auxiliary — before we leave. Misconfigured staging is invisible on day one and expensive all winter; configuration is the job.

A schedule that matches your life: realistic setbacks (moderate ones for heat pumps, to avoid triggering auxiliary heat), geofencing if your household's phones cooperate, and alerts enabled — high/low temperature warnings are genuinely valuable in an Iowa January if the furnace faults while you're away. We set this up with you on the app during the visit, because an unconfigured smart thermostat is just an expensive dial.
